Project Spotlight: Olly Murs

Olly’s brief focused on two key priorities: increasing the natural light throughout his home and improving safety with two fire-rated steel doors for the living room and children’s playroom.

The result is a bright, open interior with bespoke steel doors that combine modern design, practical performance and lasting peace of mind, perfectly suited to a luxury family home.

Double fire-rated door with fixed side panels

Olly chose a fire rated door with fixed side panels for the living room to provide certified fire protection. The steel framed design is simple and defined, and the glazed panels allow natural light to pass between rooms while keeping them clearly separated.

The result is a practical, clearly defined solution that improves fire protection while maintaining natural light, separation between rooms, and a consistent steel framed aesthetic throughout the home.

Fire Rated Double Door & Pocket Door

Olly chose a fire rated door for his children’s playroom to provide certified fire protection. This was a key requirement for the space, and the solution meets both safety standards and the overall design of the home.

At the end of the corridor, a glass and steel pocket door helps retain heat during winter while still allowing natural light to pass through the house.

Because the door slides into the wall, it does not require swing space. This keeps the corridor clear, improves circulation, and makes the layout more efficient, particularly in narrower areas.
